20th PAMRO Conference: 25th – 28th August 2019, Mauritius

The 20th PAMRO meeting and All Africa Media Research Conference will take place from 25th – 28th August 2019 Mauritius at the HILTON MAURITIUS RESORT & SPA. The theme for the conference is, “…Investing in research, investing in brands, investing in Africa….”. In line with this, all the disciplines in the marketing and media sector are invited to participate: creative, digital, research, media planning, media sales, public relations and content producers.

70 % of the total amount to be paid upon reservation. 30% of the total amount to be paid 21 days prior to arrival

Delegates will need to provide their credit card details upon reservation to enable the hotel to debit 70% of the total amount upon booking confirmation and the remaining 30% 21 days prior to arrival. Should any delegate fail to provide such, we will not proceed with the reservation.

PAMRO Bursary

PAMRO aims to give back to each country it hosts the annual conference. This year we will be in Mauritius and we will be awarding bursaries worth US $2,000 each to two deserving university students studying Media Research or any related media studies such as Public Relations, Communications, Advertising, TV/Radio Production and Social Media Studies. Airport Transfers:
Our preferred partner for Airport transfers is Connections DMC who will co-ordinate the transfers and have offered PAMRO delegates a rate of MUR1350 for a return trip on a shared basis.
Airport transfers are the sole responsibility of delegates and must be arranged with and paid directly to the shuttle service.
The PAMRO Committee will under no circumstances be involved in these arrangements.

PAMRO Objectives


PAMRO’s objective is to create a forum for industry organisations, media research providers, media owners, marketers and advertising agencies in different African countries to exchange knowledge and to learn from one-another’s successes and failures. It also aims to ensure the highest quality and to harmonise research methodologies, so that eventually a continental media research database will exist. The latter will make Africa the world leader in providing a research database for the growing number of global media owners, marketers and agencies.

PAMRO includes the Indian Ocean Islands in all its activities and underwrites the rules of market research bodies such as those of the World Organization for Research Professionals (ESOMAR).
